Important notice for MeanBitches members
We are adding an age-verification step on MeanBitches.com. This is not optional on our side, and I wanted to explain why instead of just dropping a new wall in front of you.
How many states require this now
As of mid-2026, 27 U.S. states have passed age-verification laws aimed at adult websites. The Free Speech Coalition’s tracker lists the laws currently in effect in:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
After the U.S. Supreme Court upheld Texas’s law in 2025, more states moved quickly to pass and enforce similar rules. More bills are still moving in other legislatures.
These laws generally require “reasonable age verification” before a visitor from that state can access the site. A simple “I am 18” click is no longer enough in those states.
What happens if we ignore the laws
Penalties are not theoretical, and they are written to be expensive:
In other words: If we don't do this, a state could choose to put us out of business by hitting us with massive fines.
WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU:
We are using VerifyMy as our age-verification provider.
VerifyMy is a third-party service used across the adult industry for this exact purpose. You complete the check with them—not with us. Depending on what is available in your location, that may include options such as email-based age estimation, facial age estimation, government ID scan, or another approved method. MeanBitches does not receive your ID, selfie, card details, or other personal documents. VerifyMy only tells us whether you passed as 18+. In several of the states that require this, the provider is also prohibited from keeping identifiable personal information after the check is done.
Here's the important part: If you already have a verified you are over 18 for another site using verify.my , you can reuse it instead of starting over. Members already logged in from states without these laws should see little or no change; visitors whose location is treated as one of the covered states will be asked to verify before they can continue.
We know this is inconvenient. We also know privacy matters. We chose VerifyMy so we can stay compliant without storing your identification on our servers, keep the site online, keep paying performers and crew, and keep delivering the content you subscribed for.
Thank you for staying with us while the legal landscape keeps changing. If you run into a problem with the VerifyMy step, contact cs@elxcomplete.com and we will help as quickly as we can.
